On the other, large-scale single landmarks: the Taj Mahal, the Colosseum, and now this new Tower Bridge. The 21067 clearly belongs to the second category, and that distinction matters for the rest of this article — because the two families behave very differently once retired from the catalog.

The precedent that sets the tone: the 10214 (2010-2018)

Before this 21067, the last major LEGO Tower Bridge was the 10214, released in 2010 under the Creator Expert line with 4,295 pieces for $239.99. It stayed on shelves for over 8 years — an unusually long run, a sign of steady demand rather than a speculative spike. The difference doesn't come from 'LEGO Architecture' as a range — it comes from format: a premium large-scale landmark retains its audience long after retirement, while an entry-level skyline quickly gets replaced by the next one.

What the 21067 does differently

The new set isn't simply an enlarged reissue. It adds micro-scale vehicles (a double-decker bus, cars), movable central bascules you can display open or closed, a blue suspended walkway, and the City of London coat of arms. That level of detail — mechanical and symbolic — is what sets a premium Architecture model apart from a simple scale model, and it feeds demand from LEGO mechanism enthusiasts beyond just London fans.

My take

I'd file this under 'patient money', not 'moonshot'. No exclusive minifig, no license with an organized fanbase to drive resale demand — but a direct precedent showing real, if modest, growth (+11.9% over 8 years for the 10214) on a comparable format. If you're after a fast, spectacular gain, this isn't the set. If you want an object with good odds of being worth more than its purchase price in 5 to 8 years, without drama or speculation, the 21067 checks the right historical boxes. I'd buy it for the object itself first — any gain, if it comes, is the bonus, not the reason to buy.
